Colour and Harmony into my life

This quilt was made for my lifelong friend Annie Bassey

“We'll be Friends Forever, won't we, Pooh?' asked Piglet.
Even longer,' Pooh answered.”

We met one day and the friendship grew from there. Annie has seen me in all my colours, on sunny and on rainy days.

Thank you for being in my life!

Creating

I am following Jinny Beyer BOM , not an easy pattern but as you might know by now -
I do like a challenge!

At the center of your being you have the answer;
you know who you are and you know what you want.

The way of love is not
a subtle argument.
The door there is devastation.
Birds make great sky-circles
of their freedom.

How do they learn that?
They fall, and falling,
they’re given wings. ~ Rumi

Rainy Day

On this rainy day I like to lie in bed and hibernate
Sometimes though that is not possible
So I get up
Cup of tea
Pass on these little Santa helpers
Life is good

1 lb large strawberries
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3-4 Tablespoons powdered sugar (or sugar substitute - to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  • 1Rinse strawberries and cut around the top of the strawberry. Remove the top, (enough for the hat).
  • 2Clean out the whole strawberry with a paring knife, if necessary (some of them are hollow already. Prep all of the strawberries and set aside.
  • 3In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add cream cheese mix to a piping bag. Fill the strawberries with cheesecake mixture.
  • 4Once strawberries are filled, top with the ‘hats’. Decorate according to photo.
  • 5Service immediately or refrigerate until serving.
